This culture was developed and preserved by their descendants. This is the case of Borgo Winery where this photograph was taken. Coming from the mountainous regions of northern Italy, the immigrant family arrived in Brazil at the end of the 19th century bringing to Nova Venza a love of winemaking. From generation to generation this tradition has become the livelihood of their descendants. Managed by the couple Onévio J. Colombo and Maria Lúcia Gava Colombo, Borgo Winery is situated in a cozy castle inside the city. Between mountains and river has an ideal environment for manufacturing and tasting its products done carefully on a small scale. Winery is located on 500 Giovanni Gava bystreet in São Bento Alto neighborhood.

This culture was developed and preserved by their descendants. This is the case of Borgo Winery where this photograph was taken. Coming from the mountainous regions of northern Italy, the immigrant family arrived in Brazil at the end of the 19th century bringing to Nova Venza a love of winemaking. From generation to generation this tradition has become the livelihood of their descendants. Managed by the couple Onévio J. Colombo and Maria Lúcia Gava Colombo, Borgo Winery is situated in a cozy castle inside the city. Between mountains and river has an ideal environment for manufacturing and tasting its products done carefully on a small scale. Winery is located on 500 Giovanni Gava bystreet in São Bento Alto neighborhood.

Description: The denomination of this Dei Morosi bridge in Venetian means Valentine`s bridge: an allusion to the first zinc-covered wooden bridge built in 1936 and that remained until 1955. Description: Work of the immigrant and sculptor Angelo Moro carved with a pocketknife. It was sculpted in 1892, one year after the colonization of Nova Veneza. According to history, this work carved in real size, has features of Christ's face copied from his brother Giuseppe. To finish the work Angelo came close to it and said softly, "Don't cry anymore! We've cried too much". Angelo carved dozens of saints and instruments used by Italian immigrants."In the face of Christ there is the image of each one of our colonists. All of them".
